Dubai's new resident visa regulations: All you need to know

Tourist visa with multiple entries
The UAE government intends to issue a new five-year multi-entry tourist visa that will allow up to 90 days of stay in the country with the option to extend it for another 90 days. A person can only use the service for 180 days. Anyone applying for the visa must have a balance of at least $4,000 (AED 14,700) or the equivalent in foreign currency in the six months preceding the application.
Visa for Business
Investors, entrepreneurs, and business people will be able to apply for a business visa in the UAE without the need for a host or sponsorship.
Visa for a visit (friends/family)
Foreigners can apply for this visa if they have relatives or friends who are citizens or residents of the UAE. Similarly, this visa does not necessitate the presence of a sponsor or host. You need certificate attestation.
Temporary work permit
This visa is for candidates with temporary work assignments, such as probation testing or project-based work. To obtain this visa, eligible applicants must provide proof of employment, such as a temporary work contract, an employment letter, and fitness proof.
Visa for study or training
This visa allows students or prospective talents to participate in academic courses, specialized training programs, or internship opportunities. Both public and private educational research institutes provide sponsorship opportunities. In addition, the entity must submit a letter of intent outlining the duration and specifics of the study/training program.
Visa for family members
Parents could sponsor their children until the age of 18 under previous family residency laws. Now, under the new laws, male children can be sponsored till the age of 25, female children can be sponsored indefinitely, and special needs children will require a special permit.
Visa for work

Holders of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent

Available for skilled workers, self-employed individuals, freelancers, and others. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and a minimum salary of AED 15,000 to be considered.
The Golden Visa

Scientists and researchers: Individuals who are experts in their fields of science and research are also eligible for the golden visa, subject to the following conditions :
Master’s and/or Ph.D. degree in life science, natural sciences, technology, and engineering from a prestigious university, as recommended by the Emirates Science Council
This includes people with a bachelor’s degree, a valid employment contract, and/or a monthly salary of at least AED 30,000. According to Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations, their line of work must fall under occupational level one or two.
